Our Mission

Truett-McConnell College is a Georgia Baptist College built on the belief that academic disciplines in liberal arts can be taught within the context of the Christian faith, offering an education that is characterized by our mission statement of “equipping students to make a positive impact for Christ through disciplined scholarship and Christian discipleship.”

At Truett, we believe that you learn more, learn faster, and learn more easily in a small setting where your professors know you by name and take a personal interest in your individual development. We’ve proven that, if you don’t get lost in the crowd, you won’t get lost in your studies either. Truett-McConnell College offers undergraduate programs at the associates and bachelor’s level in Business, Christian Studies, History, Humanities, Interdisciplinary Studies, Music, Education, and English.

Truett-McConnell College equips students to make a positive impact for Christ, involving a Christ-centered commitment by the college. The centrality of Christ provides an environment of academic and student life that integrates faith and learning. The college aspires to be distinctively Christian throughout the entire Institution from the classroom to the residence hall, from the chapel to the athletic field. This commitment permeates all purposes of the college and gives internal consistency to teaching, scholarship, student life, administration, advancement, and all other college functions. Truett-McConnell College balances a traditional liberal arts program with the historical Georgia Baptist position regarding doctrine and conduct.

"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches: Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.  For apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5 (NLT).

Truett-McConnell College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
