Truett-McConnell College can help!

Truett-McConnell College offers many forms of Financial Aid to make college affordable. The Financial Aid Office will help you through the process of applying for and receiving aid through grants, scholarships and loans.

APPLICATIONS - These are the applications that must be filled out to apply for all grants, scholarships and loans:

  • FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA)
  • APPLICATION FOR THE GEORGIA TUITION EQUALIZATION GRANT HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
  • TMC APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL AID Acrobat Reader

For the quickest results, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid should be submitted on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant and H.O.P.E. Scholarship Application can be submitted on line at www.gacollege411.org.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Federal Pell Grant is based on your need as determined by the U.S. Department of Education after evaluating your family’s 2009 adjusted gross income, assets, size of family and number in college. The maximum Pell Grant for 2011-12 is $5550.

Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant is provided by the state of Georgia for legal residents of Georgia who are enrolled full-time at a Georgia private college. $700 estimated per year. Funding for this grant may not be available.

HOPE Scholarship is provided by the state for Georgia high school graduates from the College Prep track who have a 3.3 or higher GPA as calculated by the GSFC in ‘Core” courses and are enrolled at least half-time at Truett-McConnell College. Up to $3,600 per year.

TMC Scholarships and Grants are based on a student’s academic achievements, participation in leadership activities in their church or school and demonstrated financial need. TMC Financial Aid Programs

Georgia Baptist Foundation Grant is awarded to active members of Georgia Baptist Convention Churches who contribute to the GA Baptist Convention's Cooperative Program. An application for the grant and a confirming letter from your local church are required.

Ministerial Grant is available to students planning for selected Christian vocations within the Southern Baptist Convention.

Federal Stafford Loans – You must file the FAFSA (see above) and complete the on-line Federal Stafford Loan Application.
