EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Cafeteria Plan Insurance Options

The college provides the following insurance benefits to each full-time employee.  The monthly cost to the employee is determined by the plan and type of coverage chosen.  Employees are to enroll in these programs within thirty (30) days of beginning employment and reenroll at annual enrollment.  Coverage under the insurance program begins on the first (1st) day of employment.

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance

Employees may purchase (pre-tax) family coverage under the health, dental or vision plans as a benefit through the cafeteria plan.

Additionally, the College pays 100% of the cost of premiums for Long-Term Disability Insurance for all full-time employees of the institution.

Other Cafeteria Plan Options

  • Employees may voluntarily purchase individual cancer policies from AFLAC on a pre-tax basis
  • Employees may voluntarily deposit payroll deductions into a Flexible Spending Account for medical and dependant care expenses.

Retirement

The college invests 7% of each employee's gross salary amount into an annuity plan with Guidestone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Contributions begin immediately upon employment.  Employees are not required to make a contribution themselves in order to receive the 7% from the College, but may voluntarily contribute to the plan.  The plan is 100% employee vested from day one.
