Yes, if a Georgia resident taking a full course load. (12 credit hours per semester.)

Yes, if a U.S. citizen with established need. Because of limited funds, this program usually aids students with extreme financial need.

Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan
Yes, if a student enrolls half-time. Federal Government pays interest while student is in school. Repayment begins six months after student carries less than half-time load.
Amounts up to $3,500 for first-year students; $4,500 for sophomore students; $5,500 for juniors and seniors.

Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan
Yes, if a student is enrolled at least half-time. Federal Government does not pay interest while student is in school. Repayment of principal and interest begins six months after student carries less than half-time load.
