CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMCNews) – Local churches will host the annual Back-to-School Bash on Aug. 6, 10AM-2PM, at Truett-McConnell College campus.


The event is intended for the underprivileged in the community. Each registered child will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. Free haircuts, dental and vision screenings, and lunch are provided. Families will also receive donated grocery items.


Bring the Zoo to You will provide a petting zoo. Other activities include face painting, crazy hairstyles, and inflatables.


TMC welcomes volunteers to help with all aspects of the Bash. Event set-up and clean-up are at 8AM and 2PM, respectively.


Interested families should register with the following churches: Crosswalk Baptist, Living Hope, Cleveland Worship Center, Cleveland Community Church, The Bridge Church, Lighthouse of Prayer, Seventh Day Adventist, Cleveland United Methodist Church, Nacoochee United Methodist Church, Resurrection of the Episcopal, Mt. Yonah Baptist Church, and Restoration Point Church.


Persons interested in supporting this event may donate to the church of their choice listed above. The public can also sponsor a child for $10. This is a tax deductible, charitable contribution.
