Pastor Rhys Stenner brought an encouraging message today to Truett-McConnell College. He reminded students and faculty of our call to ministry – that ministry being one of a shepherd boy, just like David in 1 Samuel 17. To be a shepherd boy we must remember and commit to these three things:

  • Don't be hindered by yourself
  • Don't be hindered by your family
  • Don't be hindered by Saul's Armor
We must all come to the realization that we cannot do anything without God. It is Him from whom our help comes. As a shepherd, we must be humble and we must be ready to act in obedience.
