The Office of Student Activities works to provide opportunities and programs to enhance students' mental, physical, and social growth through experiential learning in the areas of activities, special events, and intramural sports.
Activities
The activities program includes events such as Ice Cream Social, Movie on the Front Lawn, Late Night Breakfast, Hoedown, Digital Scavenger Hunt, Coffee House, Bonfire, Roommate Game, Spring Fling, and many more.
The Office of Student Activities organizes a full-scale intramural program including flag football, basketball, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball and ping-pong tournaments, volleyball, tennis and more. These activities are implemented to encourage sportsmanship and competition among students. Check the intramural bulletin board on the first floor of the Nix Student Center for updated schedules, standings, and statistics.

Nix Student Center The Nix Center houses an eight-station computer lab; a game room featuring billiards and ping-pong; the Bear Cave for student organization meetings and study space; an atrium for relaxation and TV; the Campus Store; student mailboxes; and the offices of Student Services. Hours of Operation*:
*The Nix Center will be closed for occasional holidays and other special events. |
Available Recreation Facilities
Wellness Center. Opened for student use during posted gym hours, the welness is a state-of-the-art fitness and wieght room.
Outdoor Basketball Court. Located between Garrison Hall and Sewell Hall; available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Outdoor Volleyball Court. Located behind Otwell Hall; available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Tennis Courts. Open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM for all faculty, staff, and students.
Horseshoe Pits. Located on the front lawn; available during the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM
Cross-Country Trail. Located behind the soccer field; approximately 2.3 miles in length. Maps can be obtained at the Office of Student Activities or the Athletic Office.
