Breast Cancer Awareness Day a Huge Success
|
The Breast Cancer Awareness game with Cleveland State was a huge success. The day began when Carol Hogan, mother of TMC 1st baseman Lauren Hogan and a 3-year survivor of breast cancer threw out the first pitch. Throughout the day four hundred dollars was donated and this money will be sent to the Susan G. Komen Fight for the Cure. Truett-McConnell came away with 2 wins on the day, but we are much more proud of the message we made by supporting this great cause. Breast cancer is a disease that effects many women and families in a major way. It was our hope that we would not only raise money but also awareness and we feel that this was accomplished. TMC would like to thank Suzanne Bayne and the Cleveland State Cougars for joining us in this effort.
