The 2013 mission trip to Malaysia will put students in a culture of Sikhism, where Sikhs believe "Every human being is the Light of the Divine contained in a human form" (cf. www.sikhnet.com).

Malaysia has a large population of Sikhs and Truett-McConnell students will live for two weeks in Sikh communities, engaging Sikhs with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.

Though students will already have a working knowledge of the Sikh culture, the mission trip will provide further training and serve as a laboratory for students to experience cross-cultural missions.

Details: May 20 - June 4, $3,565

The 2013 mission trip to Thailand will give students the opportunity to engage Buddhists and Muslims with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While Thailand is predominately Buddhist, many Muslims live there, too. Students will be exposed to Buddhists and Muslims in their workplaces and homes, thus providing opportunities to share Christ in a variety of cross-cultural settings.

Of particular note is the opportunity students will have to interact directly with Buddhist Monks.

Details: July 3 - 20, $3,326

One of Dr. Pruitt’s passions is preparing students to engage the world for Christ.  Whether lecturing in a formal classroom setting or teaching in a small village in Tanzania, Dr. Pruitt equips those called by God to minister internationally. Dr. Pruitt’s vast multicultural experiences over the past fourteen years uniquely prepared him to train up a generation to take the Gospel of Christ to every corner of the globe.

The World Missions Center at Truett-McConnell College is a reality birthed from the heartbeat of Truett-McConnell’s President, Dr. Emir Caner. Dr. Caner had a heart for world missions long before he became president. His involvement in taking the Gospel to the nations convinced him of the absolute necessity of a World Missions Center at Truett-McConnell College. Within his first year as President, Dr. Caner’s vision became a reality. This email address is being protected from spambots. Dr. Pruitt served as the Associate Director of the Center for Great Commissions Studies at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, and adjunct professor of missions at Southeastern College at Wake Forest for twelve years prior to his appointment at Truett-McConnell. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Florida Baptist Theological College in 1993, Masters of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000, and received a Masters of Theology in Missiology from the University of South Africa in 2007.
