STUDENT ACTIVITIES


The Office of Student Activities works to provide opportunities and programs to enhance students' mental, physical, and social growth through experiential learning in the areas of activities, special events, and intramural sports. The Office of Student Activities is located on the second floor of the John L. and Sarah Nix Student Center.

The activities program includes events such as TMC's largest sundae, late night breadkfast, movie nights, Miss Reflections pageant, welcome back bonfire, concerts, hot wing nights, homecoming events, and many more. The Director of Student Activities
works closely with the Campus Activites Board to create positive, enjoyable programming for TMC students.

Special Events
The Office of Student Activities provides special events in both formal and casual settings. These events include Christmas Dinner and Celebration, Holiday Ball, homecoming events, graduates picnic.

Intramurals
The Office of Student Activities organizes a full-scale intramural program including flag football, basketball, wiffle ball, billiards and ping-pong tournaments, indoor soccer and more. These activities are implemented to encourage sportsmanship and competition among students. Check the intramural bulletin board on the second floor of the Nix Student Center for updated schedules, standings, and statistics.

Nix Student Center

The Nix Center houses an eight-station computer lab; a game room featuring billiards, ping-pong; the Bear Cave for student organization meetings and study space; an atrium for relaxation and TV; the Campus Bookstore; student mailboxes; and the offices of Student Services.

*The Nix Center will be closed for occasional holidays and other special events. Please see the Director of Student Activities or a student center worker for further information.


pool_Available Recreation Facilities

Swimming Pool. Open to all faculty, staff, and students of Truett-McConnell College during posted pool hours and in appropriate season. The pool is staffed with certified lifeguards.

Gym and Weight Room. Opened for student use during posted gym hours.

Outdoor Basketball Court. Located between Garrison Hall and Sewell Hall; available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Outdoor Volleyball Court. Located behind Otwell Hall; available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Three Tennis Courts. Open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM for all faculty, staff, and students.

Horseshoe Pits. Located on the front lawn; available during the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM

Cross-Country Trail. Located behind the soccer field; approximately 2.3 miles in length. Maps can be obtained at the Office of Student Activities or the Athletic Office.
