Cleveland, GA (March 29, 2011)-The Truett-McConnell College Musical Theatre will perform Warren Martin’s “The True Story of Cinderella” at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, in Sewell-Plunkett Chapel on Truett-McConnell’s campus.

The 13-member cast includes students and faculty and is directed by Professor Amber Martin and accompanied by Bill Schmid.

Warren Martin (1916-1982) was a music professor at Westminster Choir College from 1950 to 1981, and composed “The True Story of Cinderella” in 1955 at the request of the students to provide a May Day entertainment. The work premiered at Westminster Choir College that year with the composer at the piano. Thursday’s concert is free and open to the public.
